A café with a front doorand no fuss

370 Strand is part of London Café Culture — a small, family-run group that believes a good café is measured by its breakfast, its scones and how welcome you feel taking up a table for an hour.

Our story

The Strand has fed Londoners for centuries, and this stretch of it — between Somerset House and the Royal Courts — still runs on tea and toast. We took the site on to do the simple things properly: a cooked breakfast worth getting up for, scones warm from the oven, and salt beef carved when you order it rather than hours before.

Everything else follows from that. We don't take bookings because the people who need us most are usually deciding at the door. We don't rush tables because the second pot of tea is often the point of coming in.

You'll find us open early six days a week, a little later on Sundays, with the same kitchen running from the first breakfast to the last scone.
